Slade Hartwell started out solving hard problems - as an engineer and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He brought that same discipline to construction, and word got around fast.
What began in 2020 as a one-man handyman operation in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida grew into full-scale remodeling, earning the trust of hundreds of homeowners - including some remarkably high-profile ones. In 2023, Slade and co-founder Carolyn Dutriz brought the business home to Lafayette, Louisiana, earned their Louisiana residential construction and home-improvement licenses, and rebranded as Hartwell Home Improvement, LLC.
Today the mission is simple: treat every home like it's our own, over-deliver on every promise, and leave people glad they called.
